Below are some of the projects that the GFWC St. Petersburg Junior Woman’s Club is actively collecting items for. Each project has a wish list below. If you are able to help with a donation of any of the items below, please contact info@spjwc.org to arrange for pick up of your donation or you may drop it off with any member of the club. Thank you for joining us as we seek to provide for the needy in our community. Remember no donation is too little, every donation counts!

Brookwood Florida is a Therapeutic Group Home for Teen Girls. Brookwood Florida is dedicated to providing troubled adolescent girls with an alternative living environment and therapeutic program encompassing education, employability skills, independent living training and counseling that will prepare them for self-sufficiency or successful family reunification. At Christmas time, members of our club give each girl at Brookwood a Christmas “stocking” filled with the items listed below. There are 50 girls that look forward to their special surprise from us each year. If you are interested helping out with this worthwhile project you may choose to donate items to fill one or more stockings or you may donate individual items and we will use your donation to help complete these stockings.

Pinellas County HeadStart seeks to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of low-income children through the provision of comprehensive services; and to assist their families. Each year in December our club donates approximately 280 bags to the children at one of the Headstart centers. Those bags include a candy cane, a book, a Chick-Fil-A coupon and a toy.
